Don't panic (or jump with joy) as I am not getting rid of my TVR yet, unless it's for a new Tus S.

My problem is my everyday work car...my contract is up on a Range Rover and I need to replace after summer which means order soon. I really don't know what to buy. I need a reasonably sized car that will seat 4 adults but does not need to be 4dr. I would like some EVOness to coin an expression but I can rule out immediately the following:-

1. BMW 5 Series - way to ugly.
2. Any SUV - bored of that game.
3. Audi S4 - cos my missus has one and she will say I have copied her!

Help and opinions greatly appreciated.

New Alfa Romeo GT coupe is pretty (and in 3.2 guise, not slow), BM M3 a safe but undeniably talented choice. Take it a RR Cerb is not quite sensible enough ?

Thanks for the suggestions, my further thoughts:
M3 - No way, owned a lemon, a nightmare.
XJ - Bit too stately
XK - No room for clients, but then they could get a bus!
Aston - Beyond my budget, unfortunately.
Alfa GT - Interesting, owned a 166 3.0 which I loved I go and see one in the flesh.
Mitsub/Subaru - I don't think these have a great range and only 4 cylinders!!

Keep them coming, thanks

Philip, what about a good Porsche 944, or better still, 968? They're going for bargain money these days. As well as great build quality, 7 seconds to 60, You get the dividend of loads of luggage space with that rear door, four seats, (well, 2 plus 2) and a zoomy car much respected. Check 'em out.

I quite fancy a 968 CS for a bit of fun and occaisional track runs.

Don't know if you like buying new, or second hand, what's the budget, what's the performance you looking for, auto or manual?

Some suggestions:

New Audi A6/A8
Second hand RS4 (a little evoness)
New Jag S-type (R)
Second hand M5
New Alfa coupe 3.2
New Merc E/CLK
Second hand Merc CL
New Volvo C70 T5/S60R/V70R

Well, that's all I can think off right now, from what I guess you'll like.

Edited to add:
Maybe a new Cadillac STS is something you're looking for?

Might look at the Merc CLK, you need the 4.3l though.
