There's this TVR down my road...

I've noticed that there's someone down the road that has a yellow Chim parked in their garage - never seen it out on the road, but did see it when driving past and he had his garage open.

I want to go and introduce myself as another TVR owner, tell him about PH and the TVRCC runs out etc, but I'm sure he'll already know I've got one as mine is parked outdoors and we use ours a lot. So he hasn't approached me, should I approach him?

I don't want to come across as being a bit of a nerd.

I'd go and say hello too. If he's a misery then at least you'll know to avoid him in future. You could end up doing pub runs in the week together

Careful, some tiv owners are off another planet, if he's young, he'll be ok to break the ice with. If he's older, you'll probably end up wishing you never introduced yourself... lol

I'd keep my distance - the guy's obviously clinically insane. He's got a Chimaera and doesn't drive it.
How about you report him to the local health authority, have him sectioned and as they cart him off in the rubber bus, have a quick word before the sedative takes hold and offer to keep the oil circulated for him while he's 'having a nice rest'.

Well, who cares if people think you are weird for going and introducing yourself and sharing a common interest. It is their loss if they are odd about it not yours. I tell everyone who appears vaguely interested in nice motas about PH and I get plenty of strange reactions being a female wittering on about cars.

Way I see it, for everyone who thinks you are odd there will be loads who appreciate you taking the time to be friendly.

I have a new neighbour across the road and he has a Pointiac Firebird, Havent had time to chat much yet as he has only been there at weekends.

But now theres two Noisey V8's rumbling in our tiny Cul-De-Sac much to the other neighbours annoyance i imagine
