Possible handling/stability problem

The last couple of times i have driven the car i swear that somethings changed. Basically the rear end feels like its lost some stability. Not straight line stability though.

Say i'm driving in a slight curve full throttle. Well every time i change gear the rear end skips a bit, nothing too bad but not nice.

Say i go round a low speed tight corner and go say half throttle i get some snap oversteer.

I'm sure the car wasn't doing this before, its had a real good geo set up and is on ad08's

I wondered if these cars have rear trailing arm bushes or similar? As i had some go on an m3 once and it behaved in a very similar way.
I suppose the rear toe could have been knocked out also?

Tyre tread different on each side?

Check all of the bushes at the rear, had this once and ended up rebushing the whole rear end as they were all worn, once done all was fine again.

Maybe that geo set up isnt quite as good as you think.

Pretty sure the geometry was/is good, very good infact.

I might just get it booked in to be looked at as i suppose it could be any of the bushes.

I wouldn't mid re bushing the whole car tbh.

What sort of rough cost do you reckon?

Just driven it and i do think it could well be rear drop links, its behaving like they are saggy iykwim, its like theres a bit of excess body roll which goes into oversteer.

Is it worth using these ones?

How much roughly are the standard ones? And i'm guessing its a simple straight swap job, looked easy enough to change last time i was in the wheel arch.

Check one of the rear drop links hasn't snapped. The joints seize and then the rod snaps.

I had one go a while back and had the same symptoms. I ended up making my own adjustable ones with decent rose joints and well fitting rubber boots.

Probably obvious but not sure what that one means?

Ordered some leven rear drop links today on the advice of you guys changing them and from dan at taylor tvr so i'll get those on this week and see what happens.

tbh i have a good mind to change every bush on the car anyway as its 10 years old with 55k on it so it may be a good idea either way.

ps how many miles have the rear bushes done without being replaced? they dont last forever some of the larger ones (bottom wishbone inner bushes spring to mind) maybe starting to go.

Anyway, i'll have to have a look through old receipts but i don't remember seeing any bills for bushes.

have a look under the car up at the wishbone mounting points on the chassis, rears are most common to fail, you will probably see a rust trail if the bushes have gone and the wishbones are rubbing on the chassis.

If you do do them, make sure you pop nylon bushes either side of the wishbone when putting back (they werent on as standard).

Definite possibility if one side has gone.
