Spent a bit on the old girl now,and was wondering how you get the insurance company(in my case Mannings) to agree a figure for the car.

They obviously mentioned to send upgrade photos etc and bills to prove you have had work done, but they still weren't sure how to agree a figure?

Anyone had a figure agreed with insurance companies and how?

Yep, sent in half a dozen photos of the car, and got my garage to write a letter, stating what they thought the current value was. I`m with Manning, and that was finethumbup

My Griff's on an agreed value with Mannings. Just had to send recent photos and a valuation letter supplied by David Gerald TVR who look after her.

Just done mine again recently (Mannings) and they need a letter from an authorised indy/dealer/someone respectable and known plus a few pictures. As long as its less than £30k you'll be OK. Not sure what happens at that level, assume a premium rise?

Companies/brokers vary.

Some want an engineer's report or a club valuation, others will accept recent photos (normally 6, front/rear/sides/interior/under bonnet); they then use an internal assessor to agree, or not, the value.
Some will want new photos every year, some every 3 years.

Best thing to do is to speak with the ones that you are interested in.
