I bought it back to the office (after driving out of the garage with track silencers on) and will take the long way home tonight

Very pleased with the battery life, can't complain about that.

mine also seems to last a good few weeks without use. battery seems to be fine in mine (touch wood)

Out of interest just how enjoyable could the long way home possibly be from gridlocked teddington to presumably more gridlocked putney?

Gridlocked? On a school holiday? Not at the moment sir, I can get home in minutes.

Anyway, I'll head out to Esher maybe and then back, perhaps into central London, maybe over to Chiswick.....fun is what you make of it.

Mine would be lucky to start after a couple of weeks when unused, locked and alarmed when it was on the 'standard' starter electrics. Since I fitted the hotstart kit it'll sit for weeks on end and still fire-up first time. Before the hotstart relay was put in it just seemed unable to flow any current to the starter unless the battery was 100%.
