Oh **** - best just hope it runs like clockwork

my order from TVR GEAR still hasn't come through the post so I thought I would ring and make sure it was all in hand. Get told the bloke dealing with the order has gone on holiday and it hasn't been sent, largely cos they dont have the fuel pump relay and fan belt in stock. So they haven't sent out the 100A fuses and accelerator cable either.
Guess I'll have to cross my fingers for those 2k miles around europe in this weather.

I wouldn't worry too much mate.
The serp belt, if on it's way out, tends to break down slowly and just slip a bit. I doubt anyone on here has had one snap altogether.
If the fuselink does play up, more often than not it can be removed, cleaned up and replaced. Best bet would be to clean it now and then stick a cable tie around the casing.
I think the fuel relay and accelerator cable would be the two least likely to give you trouble.
Very best of luck anyway.

yeah cheers. I guess its saved me spending out £150 in one hit anyway. Not so worried about the le mans bit as so many brit cars I could probably scrabble together anything I needed. More worried about the 2k around south of france, pyrenees etc when it becomes more remote. Ah well, I have breakdown cover so its not the end of the world.
