coilpack bracket needed

can anyone suggest where to get a coil pack bracket,i have the one from trigger wheels but its not suitable apparently!

Rich, I run the standard range rover bracket for the 2 x 4 packs, mounted at the back of the inlet fanimold.

I made mine to come off the side of the plenum.
I will take a pic late tonight when i get home

They are easy enough to make the problem is i don't have the car so can't use it as a template, Ant i have P38 coilpacks and bracket in the car boot but was told not to use them, would have loved to put them at the back of the plenum as i think its one of the tidiest solutions, just need a quick fix to get the car back pronto

that looks like a good option but my alternator is mounted on a light weight bracket so is quite abit closer to the water pump pulley, do you think this will still work?

Have you got the JE bracket?

I have one and will be fitting it tonight.

This guy isn't far from me so I will be sorting out bracketery soon.

Give him a ring, very knowledgable, had me on the phone for ages giving advice, unlike some!!!

It's a 'JE' bracket... not like others, just like the 'flywheel' bolts that didn't fit...

being the silly bugger in person that spent best part of a day marrying Richards 'bargain' brackets & alt together!

Why not to use the P38 coil packs??
Mine have been on for 6k and not had issues....

I have the ford coil packs and connectors so don't think it will work now!

If you go to Long Eaton & manage to fit that coil pack in your car, I'll happily change the wiring & connectors at my own expense (+even more precious time!).

Dave its's not my intention to upset anyone! I know the p38 bracket is a PITA on a chimaera and not an option but I still like the way it looks,I have been asked by mike to source a coil pack bracket but as my install isn't standard, its not that straight forward.
I could buy one that's supposed to fit and end up in the same situation as the alternator bracket and flywheel bolts. As you said caveat emptor!
I have already bought one from trigger wheels which I believe just mounts the two coil packs together but not to the car in any way, The Megasquirt website looks like they have a few options but all mounted in front of the plenum so until its bought and tried I wont know if it will fit!

Made bracket out of 2mm SS and bolted to the top bell housing . Ford coil packs. This is on a Wedge, don't know how much room you've got.

Mine is very simple including the mounting but I plan on making some mounts to hang my coils directly off the plenum soon but have other bits to be tigged-up at the same time i.e the voids in my blended trumpet base that needs fitting and seeing as I don't own a tig welder I have to farm that stuff out I also prefer the neatness of the P38 coil pack too but seeing as I am using EDIS and the Mondeo/KA/Fiesta/Escort Gen1 coils are bomb proof I am stuck with what I have got unless I go direct fire and I am happy with my set-up at present
