Has anyone in the Cambridge area had a problem with this W***er, he is about fiftyish and drives a non metallic green discovery with a Bidwells spare wheel cover? a couple of months ago he cut my wife up and tailgated her.....today he did it to me, on both occasions he undertook us as he came off the M11 and condescendingly wagged a finger at us. I am trying to track this lunatic down and will raise an incident report (for all the good it'll do) with the cops

Write to DVLA saying that he's parked illegally on your private property - they'll send you the keeper's name & address..

Me too.

Don't Bidwells have an office on Trumpington Road just off the M11. You may be able to find him there...

Thanks guys, I have tried Bidwells and no joy, the lady was very helpful though, my wife thinks it said Bidwells maybe it didn't, the sneaky bugger held way back at first so I didn't think anything of it and when he pulled alongside I had passed the exit so couldn't get his number....this guy is a serious headcase so be careful

Apache, were you in the tiv at the time? Was your wife in the tiv at the time also? Maybe he's got something against TVRs,seeing as he is a bit of a head case.

I am afraid that you can add him to the list of loonies that live in this area - excluding the ones that have TVR's of cours

I got chopped by a Focus on the way home today (private reg). Then there was the monkey in the A8 that obviously is colour blind and cant see what a red light is. And the right git in the Audi A4 that likes to sh*t you up when going the other way on the A404. And I havent even mentioned the C180 this morning that obviously thinks that the white line is for common people....

I went to the doctors the other day and he got called out to TWO RTAs in one day. Now hes the doc not the ambulance. They only call him out when the paramedics cant deal with the situation and need a doc on scene. BOTH were serious and one was a fatality. However, if anyone knows Newmarket - coming in on the main road into the town from Cambridge (A1303). Just when it drops from 60 past the golf course to 40 for the top of the town - someone managed to get themselves killed. Simply pulled out into the road in front of a horsebox - and we know how slow they go......

The roads are full of people with a death wish...

Cheers,

Paul

...including the ar$3hole on my way home from a drink with apache. I usually give it some berries on the road towards my village, which is a national speed limit road with good visibility. I then slow to 40 for the, wait for it, 40 limit, and then 30 for the 30.

Anyway, twatface (as we'll call him) tailgates me all the way through the 40, and then overtakes me when I slowed to 30. Bearing in mind tonight is a big night out, and there's kids (15-18 sort of age) everywhere further into the 30 (edit: mis-typed as 40 originally) limit.

Anyway, I have his registration, and confirmed it was right with insure.co.uk's handy registration checker :-) Just wondering whether to do anything about it.

Chris,
Sadly not!

But if you ever spot an N reg Volvo doing similar let me know

Talking of your village, at the point where 30 becomes 40 (or vice-versa, depending which direction your travelling in!) are the "Home made" speed camera markings and "Slow" "30" still 'visible' on the road! Last I saw of them at the beginning of April, someone had painted over them! Gave me the fright of my life when I first saw them (Yes, unfortunately I was speeding, but at 03.00 I figured 45 in a 40 wasn't a hanging offence!) Had a good chuckle when I saw them in daylight, they weren't even straight!!

They weren't speed camera marking as such, just someone's lame attempt to slow people down coming into the village.

Pity they completely missed the point by painting "slow" on the other side of the road where it goes from a 30 to a 40 limit. Morons.

insure.co.uk has an online quote system that also asks the registration of the vehicle you want a quote for. They look up that registration in a database as part of the quote process and tell you what the vehicle is.

It's a handy way to make sure the reg you *think* you remember tallies up with the made/model/colour of vehicle.

Can't you take his number and report it the police? They can't do anything of course as there's no evidence - but maybe they will keep it on file and perhaps it will help get him eventually.

Thinking of evidence, why not take a camcorder with you and record it happening (ideally get the passenger to do this of course or you might end up on a charge too!) Pan from offending vehicle to your speedo, close-up on his reg no, pan to roadsign for location etc. If you think he works at Bidwells, write to their Managing Director. The driver will never know it came from you and he might well get a bollocking.

Don't get mad, get even. But legally.
