TVR Finish Le Mans!
Historic day for the marque
TVR made history today at Le Mans. The two Chamberlain/Synergy TVR T400Rs finished the gruelling race after a very long 24 hours. The lead car covered 299 laps, nearly 2400 miles!
There was a scare at the beginning of the race when car 96 limped into the pits after only a few minutes with ECU problems. That was quickly rectified and racing resumed for the team.
Overnight there were concerns with differential temperature and loose nuts on the differential but the team saw to those and the cars rejoined around 30 minutes later.
After 24 hours the two purple cars cruised over the line with team owner Gareth Evans at the wheel of car 96 in 23rd position. In 22nd place Bob Berridge took car 89 home. 28 cars completed the race.
The cars were in the 'GT' class and finished 8th and 9th ahead of 2 other cars in their class.
Congratulations to TVR and to Chamberlain Synergy Motorsport!

Yes, Very well done TVR, Great result. Must admit have been glued to the TV and willing at least one of the Tivs to finish. Two is wonderful. It's all the more galling that I had to sell my tickets
but I hope Paddy, aka 'Satman', from Mid Essex did my tickets proud and I'm looking forward to hearing the stories and seeing the pics at next months meet.
