i think its reading a bit on the low side

Do they do a chrome bezel for it?

I think this would look good with it;



I wonder what happens when the needle hits that 'Emergency' point at around the 1500 mark.

Maybe time to bail out?

Nothing.

Every nut, bolt, electrical connection, cog, bearing and gasket would have given up the ghost long before that. There would be miles of TVR bits strewn all over the road behind, leaving you sitting on just your seat in the middle of a busy roundabout with a manic grin on you face and dead flies all over your teeth & glasses.

That looks like pipe work gauge from /to Carrier air cooled chiller.

Yup - chiller plant for a well known chocolate maker in Birmingham
