So there are a few cars available "direct - pre-owned".

Even the website states: The core of these are TVR’s fleet of press cars, driven hard by the likes of Jeremy Clarkson
The website goes on to admit they are priced at a bit of a premium, and after all they have been looked after at the factory.
Has anybody coughed up for one of these yet?
Would one of these be a good buy, or just good bye to lots of dosh

although I could'nt get the factory to confirm this.
I am surprised TVR are doing this. Yes, we all know that ALL cars depreciate in value, but by doing this, TVR are perhaps confirming/showing us, by how much. And in the back of your mind, is the thought that TVR can charge a little bit more than a dealer perhaps; and that as "famous press cars", these particular TVRs should also be worth a little more anyway? EG That silver T350C would have retailed new at over £50k and has lost 25% in one year?
On the plus side, when the engine goes wrong, I bet TVR will fix it FOC.

on a serious note .. the engines actually do appear to be much better now .. and as james rightly points out, if it's factory maintained from day one you can't get better than that .. I'd say one of these cars would make a great purchase, owning a part of TVR press car history sounds appealling to me anyway ..
