Completley my fault, took the roof out of the boot of my chimp in the car park at Brands and droped the keys in the boot without thinking and shut the boot lid. I wont say how I got it open again as people dont like it being posted online but nearly an hour later I got them out............fun times

I've done that before, I had to get my girlfriend to go home and bring me the spare keys so I could get the car open as I don't know the secret way in. Took 2 hours in total. On the plus side I doubt I'll ever do it again.

Hate to sound pious but if I'm in the car alone with the roof off, I always throw the keys onto the passenger seat once I've parked.

Not only does this guarantee that the keys don't get inadvertantly locked in the boot, it reminds me to lock the nearside roof stay when I go and collect the keyssmile.

First time I put petrol in my Chim, boot lid would not open up far enough or stay up so I put the keys on top of something in the boot. Now as soon as I get out they go straight in my pocket.
I was fortunate enough to know the way in but never again.
