Maybe so, but it's neither an M, nor does it have an LS in it. Still, it does have me wondering why a full bore racing engine would have such long intake runners.

Best,
B.

True but as they say, I'm no expert but I knows what I like!

Any of those early classic shapes with a big V8 are blooming fantastic!

This car originally saw the light of day with a single plane manifold, and a carburetor. Does anybody KNOW what the before/after differences are?

Also, the enormous distributor seems to have disappeared. Does it now sport an integrated engine management system with crank trigger?

Best,
B.

This car started life a sheet of wood on a table with the late Peter Wheeler sitting on it, the engine is a iron block and its a stress member, the car didnt start life as a M, its a full out and our racer, honey combe and roll cage for the centre section safety cell, the boady was molded off an M but the font is wider and the car runs a narrower rear track like some GT cars to help front end grip, engine is if i remember is 437cc and strated life on a carb but and no servo on the brakes, Peter managed to race the car like this and he like to keep the car is 4th and was quite lazy and liked torque, the car was moded with fuel injection and a remote servo but Peter never had a chance to drive the car in its new configuration which is a shame....
The car is over 600bhp and torque too, if i had the money i would comission one of these.
The ECU is the size of a fag packet.

I think a Taimar or M with an LS engine and 6 speed box would be realy nice to drive, I feel my Taimar could do with about 200 horses to make it realy good fun.
Realy looking forward to seeing how Stainless Steves car takes shape...

Yeah, 437CI would have to be a pretty lazy Ford Small Block motor. It would be a 351 block with approximately 4.060" bore and 4.25" stroke, Nearly the limits of a 351 block, regardless if it was a Windsor or a Cleveland, and don't expect to be able to rev much past 6,000RPM. Even though you could use an engine plate as a stressed member, you wouldn't want to subject the block to those added loads.

This totally makes sense of the long runners. Thanks.

What ECU is it running?

Best,
B.
