I’m very pleased to announce that after some doubt Cerbera V8 Racing will be back on track in 2012! We have been building on the successes we had this year and the great finale at Spa resulting in a win and a new lap record.

For 2012 TVR Power have confirmed their support of Cerbera V8 Racing and will be helping us take the challenge to Ferrari, Porsche and the other supercars.

With TVR Power on board the small things that kept us from winning this year should be prevented, no more running on old tyres that let us down or lower priced parts that fail. It will be great to work with TVR Power over the winter to maximise the cars potential and make a quick start to next season. The car will be fully stripped down over winter with a freshen up of the 4.7 AJP engine and a much needed tidying of the bodywork and general appearance.

I will post an update on how the car is coming along and our championship plans for next season in the near future.

There are many ways you can keep up to date with our progress. You can follow us on both Facebook and twitter @cerberav8racing or visit our website www.cerberav8racing.co.uk

Thanks for all of your support in 2011 and look forward to seeing you trackside in 2012!

Mike

Yes tyres will certainly help!

We havent commited to any race series yet for next year. Just waiting over the next few months to see which direction they will all be taking. There was a rumor that GT Cup may be adding an even faster top class with Ferrari 458's, vipers etc. If they do that then i think we will go for that! Sounds fun hastling a viper aroung the twisties!

Im not sure weather to try a couple of slightly longer races aswell. As things progress over the comming months i will keep everyone updated.

Cheers

Looking forward to seeing which way you're headed. Would be good to show the GT Cup lot that they can't get rid of the TVR's that easily!

The other good news for us is that TVR Powers bodyshop will be painting and preping the car for us! Will be exciting to have a car that looks good close up as well as on the track!

We managed a 2:33.3 which was a new lap record for the GT CUP championship. However we did have 60kg of success ballast on board at the time and 1 race old slicks. Not to mention the 44kg of ballast to bring the car up to the required wieght.

Im convinced there's a lot more time still to come.

That is a tremendous time. It must be sensational going around doing them times & speed.

Without the 104 kg weight & finest tyres what could be shaved off?

Im convinced that with the correct set up new tyres the car at its optimal weight.... 2.30's However remove the standard h pattern T-5 and give me a sequetial gearbox, im sure we could push 2.28's

Although it is very easy to say all of this on a forum!!

The car feels amazinmg around spa, I took a few people around the track this year as passengers and they all seemed quite impressed.
