I was at a TVR dealer today and whilst looking around a Tuscan I got chatting to the manager. During conversation it came up that TVR are now doing engine rebuilds for a standard £1500, so if I bought a Tuscan and the engine blew then the most it'd cost me is a grand and a half.

This seemed quite cheap to me considering the number of threads I've read on here quoting £0000's for a rebuild. So, has anyone else on here heard of this? Can anyone confirm if it's true?

Is this a new scheme TVR have introduced to help unfortunate customers or was it a sly sales ploy to sell Mr Dastardly a shiny Tuscan?

I believe there is a standard 'refresher' thing they will offer. But it's only for certain aged cars, and only for certain problems..e.g. finger followers.. not for say.. a pushrod embedding itself in the side of the crankcase, etc.
