Tuscan ECU burned out.
Discussion
Hi All,
just wanted ask a quick question regarding my knackered ECU.
Had a problem driving home from Spain where my Tuscan developed a servere missfire. Turns out to be the ECU (thought I can smell burning electrics !).
Anyway, before we conne t a new one, I just wanted to ask opinions on what may have caused an overload ?
My Mk2 Tuscan is de-catted with powertech cans.
From my simplistic veiw, I wouldnt expect an ECU to be effected by any system or sensor feedback.
Thanks for any advise,
Tony.

Just to update, Had a replacement ECU fitted and the car is running great.
It actually seems better than before so mybe the original had some kind of fault or the Chip wasnt quite right ?
Anyway,in doing the repair, Ian at TorqueRVT fitted a suppressor to the alternator.
This has cured the wonderful little dash lights problem where I would have to press the brake peddle after turning of the engine to get the dash lights to shut down.
