That's Grizzly Griff off the road for the winter...
Discussion
Just took the Griff out for a nice drive around my 70 mile route in the late autumn sunshine. It goes on a SORN as of Tuesday for six months. Every time I drive the car I remember why I love it so much and now I'm going to sit down with a beer and make a list of all the jobs I need to do over the winter; Renovo on the roof, Waxoyle the chassis, feed the leather, attend to the stone chips on the nose etc. etc. Something to keep me busy in garage when I'm fed up with Strictly Come Dancing

Those who SORN their cars for the winter - do you not find niggles rear their heads when you retax them in the spring? My Cerbera had been in storage for 2 years before I bought it, and I had a shed load of little niggles and leaks from perished rubbers etc to contend with. Part of what stops me SORNing the old girl for the winter is that it could be straight back to square one if the car is left resting for 6 months.
Is there a procedure to follow to keep things right? Surely it can't be just as simple as starting the car and letting it idle from time to time, as I'd imagine that does more harm than good.

Never had a single issue in 4 years of laying Tiv's up yet roll on winter 5 In tiv ownership. Is there a procedure to follow to keep things right? Surely it can't be just as simple as starting the car and letting it idle from time to time, as I'd imagine that does more harm than good.
I Do lots of work over winter good service for me and i look over the whole car and replace anything that could be a issue and spoil a "perfect scottish summer"

I do tend to run it up when i can, Don't think it will happen for months with the Cerb as i have the inlets away getting ported just now and getting ready to do valve clearances. Before i go for a re-map.
But i tend to clean all electrical connections and silicon grease them up a light spary of wd-40 over the whole enigine bay help push moisture out. And on Axle stands in my case as i do lots of work on the under side as well cleaning and painting and area's that may need.
