Here's one for you RV8 boys I was having a smooze on U Tube then found footage of Nick Manns Morris Minor 3.5 RV8 with twin turbo's at 55 sec and 2min 50sec if I remember correctly he did a 10 second quarter not bad for a car that was made for hill climbing my brother-in-law often came up against this in his sit up & beg Red oxide primed Ford Pop at the time,just goes to show that even then the bent 8 Rover could cut the mustard

That was John Meredith who was competing around the same time as Nick. Last time I saw John he had 'retired' to Truro to run a filling station, but he was still playing on the hills with a Sapphire Cosworth. He too was a very capable engineer and driver.
