Paul, I have them (15" front 16" rear OZ Splits) on my Chim but only in summer, I think they look good too, but they take a lot of keeping clean.Still looking for a pair of 16" for the front. Most will need refurbish by now or will have been done already, which usually means no lacqueur, which means even more polishing and they do not like salt !!! . Demon Tweaks do a brand new look a like IIRC maybe these

That is my old car! I bought those wheels on Ebay, £450 if I recall and around £400 to have the things refurbed, God I miss that car

That's not quite correct. Centerline, as well as Weld did some fantastic DRAG RACING wheels. The loads wheels are subjected to, in that capacity are not the same as in cornering. There were/are plenty of manufacturers that make superior wheels for cars that are intended to accept high g loading in corners. Some use squeeze cast magnesium alloys (Compomotive, Ronal, Compagnolo, American Racing, Halibrand, Dunlop ...), some use high strength Aluminium alloys. The one thing to make sure of, when selecting a composite, or split wheel, is that the centers are made from forgings.

While Centerline is certainly best known for drag racing wheels, they can not be pigeon-holed quite that easily.
They always made a (several now maybe?) series of drag racing wheels that in no way are suitable for street use, but their range is extensive, covering street and 4WD use, and their quality was always considered amongst the best.
I think worth an email or a phone call , if someone like the look of one of the ranges enough to bother, and if a change to five stud hubs was considered and option...
Forged centres is the norm it appears for most/all their wheels.

I realise it's exotic, but maybe that's the point if you are looking for something different?

Image wheels do a 3 piece wheel that is virtually identical to the OZ racing wheel. The will manufactore them in 4 or 5 hole to the correct PCE and to suit the customers rewuirement. They are not cheap but they are quality. http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/large_wheel_pages/b85...

I know a one or 2 people have IMAGE wheels on here, and I was quite tempted myself, but saw quite a few posts around the net about poor quality and poor customers service which when you are shelling out that much I wouldn't expect, so went for a totally different look in the end with some Azev's

Garlick I have a set of Lenso's on my Griff (it's my thread and the yellow Griff in the thread linked to earlier) I have been really pleased with them given the cost. They are a "faux" split rim but still look pretty good IMHO.

I looked into this in some detail, original OZ's are hard to obtain, hard to look after and v expensive for what would be a second hand set of wheels. Image wheels are also expensive and I found them not all that helpful to deal with. Compomotive will make you a set of CXN's to order and they are lovely wheels but again expensive. The Lenso's will be around 450 quid for a set of 16's without Tyres, for me they were a no brainier! It might be worth checking to see if Lenso now make a 17 inch size for the rear as I think the nose down stance really suits the Griff.
