THE ULTIMATE TVR SHOOTOUT 2

This year we had an excellent day at the pod with a good turnout of TVRs from standard to heavily modified stretching their legs over the 1/4 mile. So I think it is time to set a date for Shootout 2 next year. I am hoping I will be arriving without the aid of an AA truck this time rolleyes

So again we are calling all TVRs to attend, to show, to watch, and maybe to try your car for the first time on the ¼ mile with friends alike.

First of all we need to set a date that will not clash too badly with other TVR events allowing for most people to attend easily.

I would have used the day ahead of the BMW show again but they have moved to later in the year and I know we want to do this in the height of summer if we can. There was a lot of talk about making a weekend of it this time so a date with camping in mind and entertainment on site will be a bonus.

An initial idea would be Saturday 30th June with the Retro show on the Sunday. I also know the old Rover racers (RVDRA) reunion will be in attendance.

So thoughts at first please so we can agree on a date then we will start a list of attendees in another thread.

How many cars would we need to get the track to be a TVR only meet?

Nice idea Barrie but even if we had 50 cars it would still cost a lot more than most people would want to pay.

I'm trying to persuade the missus to get the house with the quad garage and car port, and court yard for a total of 7-8 cars

So yeah, Party on!

But she thinks its a waste! going back up on Friday to choose more

Hi Richard, yes there will be a T'ultimate oop North shootout.
I aim to be at every meet at York next year running in Pro-ET.
The first meeting is Easter so it would be good to see a good TVR turnout for my birthday wink
I guess we can also dedicate a date later in the Summer months for a proper get together.

Id be up for this, as ive never done a 1/4 mile drag race in any car let alone the cerb. hopefully my new engine will be fitted and run in in time.

i wanted to attend last years event but bespoke engine parts never turn up on time
