Your cars personal Nemesis
Discussion
A righteous infliction of retribution, manifested by an appropriate agent !!
Gonna be different for us all i pressume, depending on what you drive and what you dislike (tell us why)
I expect porkers to show up a lot (like being a gooner it is my place to hate spurs fans) as being Tiv owner i should know my enemy !!
For me, i have (in my first year of driving my 350i series 1 wedge) become aware of Z4 BMW drivers are a tad................. "Nobby" is the word i'm looking for !
I have always thought they were an improvement on the Z3, but maintain they show little imagination in the "weapon of choice" stakes.
Seldom driven by a man on his own....always got the wife on board (for show) and a pair of high end sunnies to boot !! Or driven by a woman (no offence or sexist innuendo implied).
So like the Audi TT, i have always veiwed them as a car aimed at the female gender first and foremost, with power "upgrades" to satisfy the hubby as an afterthought.
On more than two occasions i have been behind one (who is poodling around on the sunday jaunt) and have blipped the throttle on mine as a wake up call ! (the sound of Z4 lump and the Cyndi Lauper CD not able to drown me out)
Cue the look in rear veiw mirror (confusion as to what i'm in) followed by (lipreading skills at hand) "what is that", followed by female co-pilot peering over seatrest to add knowledge of make/model !!
This one time (band camp) Z4 matey (feeling threatened), accelerated hard away, only to realise i am stuck to rear fender!
Now i know (think) the upcoming dual carraigeway is where the youth of his car is going to show, (no idea what model/engine he has....they are all 2 litres right ?) so up to the roundabout i harrass the hell out of him (just to see his panic in the rear view you understand, bird to impress, ego to maintain, purchase to justify).
then peel off gently at r/bout and watch the smoke belch out as he (for a moment) floors it to maintain dignity of self and car.
So as no other model has bullied me, i choose BMW Z4's as my object of ridicule (though i love the word Nemesis, its not really definatively correct here).
Porkers generally admit defeat in the soundtrack stakes, and i treat them with a muted respect (real ones only) and never rise to a challenge (......i never know with them as i know nothing of models/engines either).
Waffling aside, you get the Jist.
Your "Nemesis" ???

No there are some 3.0 litre versions as well, quite quick if driven properly but still eminently beatable.I seem to have most of my problems with drivers of VW Passats who seem to think that they drive the quickest thing on the road.....

Sticking with the Vdub theme; Golf GTIs(This is pronounced "gitties" whilst making every effort to 'lose' the 'i' between 'g' and 't')
I leave it to your imagination as to pronouncing TDI (a most worthless and meaningless appendage)
Those people wake up every morning of their lives just knowing that they are driving the fastest car on the planet and therefore don't need to move over for anything.
It matters not one bit to how many you prove this fallacy to be untrue, they all persist in their belief.

VW Golfs... although giving a VW Golf the title of 'nemesis' is a huge compliment to one! Its usually the chav vehicles that will race off at a light expecting you to do the same (and probably expecting they would leave you for dust even if you did!).. Actually, most German car owners have this complex.. lol
i think it best if perhaps i don't post my response on this topic lol !
Ah, can't resist ! Does someone who reduces a 26,000 mile 500 showing 245bhp ATW into a non runner count as a nemesis ? And how about the person that recommended him ?
ETA- it was a Chrysler 300C SVT(or whatever the hot one is badged) got me on the slippy slope in the first place. Whupped by a barge !
