Kind of short (heh) on actual descriptive phrases rather than tired clichés.

Here, I drove the car, here is my take on it: Racing Green Demonstrator

Its a reasonable review for top gear, hey it's a comedy show not a car show.

Pretty superficial IMHO

Oh, I do wish Hammond would stop trying to be like Clarkson in his writing period - he isn't and never will be (love him or hate him).

Depends. I used to watch it quite a bit and the reviews they gave used to be fairly good in information and content.

Must admit I don't watch it now days, so maybe the character of it has changed.

But some reviews they did - Marcos TSO - for instance was very enjoyable to watch and read.

Very average writing marred further by the use of tired old cliches.

Utter crap by the most annoying p r i c k on tv or anywhere else. Saw the repeat last night [again] about the new Tuscan; firstly sliding around in snow making out it's useless [funny if it was crap how did it wipe the floor round the track with the weissman] then that awful bit about strangers trying to get in, start and get out. Surely a good thing I think, also I was 'shaving' door handles off my cars and replacing with solenoids and buttons in the ealy eighties, why, 'cus it looks better and no one can get in [it was after I had a stereo nicked].
Sorry but the bit about a comedy show about cars, well it's not funny anymore [same old ste 'jokes' and it seems to have very little about the cars either, just three jumped up ego's. Hammond,

Aaaaargh, he makes me cringe ! That hair ! that smug gnomish beady little face ! Wish he'd feck off to the Cotswolds to join the other pretentious arriviste social climbers !

The way I read it, it seems that the little tt doesn't know Peter Wheeler has passed away.

Hammonds review, while being a bit predictable in places, wasn't in-depth enough to be of any real use or interest frankly.

how is he showing off by taking a 911 to the shops? If I go to my local waitrose I'd be amazed if there wasnt at least one 911 there.

I met him once, seemed like a thorouighly down to earth and nice guy, real petrolhead too.
