Got my first TVR at the weekend. It's a '96 Chimaera in Moonraker black.

I can not believe the power and poise of these cars.

I'm just so glad I've managed to finally bite the bullet and buy one.

I couldn't stop grinning all day Saturday. My face actually ached!!

Thankyou to everyone who has offered advice. Also a quick mention about Fernhurst TVR, who were superb. The presentation and reassurance I was given when collecting the car made it a memorable day.

All I want to do is get out there and drive. The weekend went so quickly...

I now understand what it is about these cars that makes them so special.

My next plan is to ask my Uncle, a trained police driver, to give me some lessons that will help me understand the car better.

Until then, it's slow in, quick out and taking it easy just chillin' with sound of that glorious V8....

Congrats....

Sounds like you have wanted one for a while.....

Always good to get what you want..

If you are in the South East and fancy a drive over to the Mid Essex Meet to show it off, you would be most welcome.
Ncs runs a Kent/London branch too if that's any nearer.

Hope the sun stays out for you....

Thanks, sounds cool. Once I've got the Leven bits done (aren't birthdays great), then I'll definately want to show it off.

I'm looking forward to the next meeting at Virginia Waters, I've been twice, but can't wait to take my own TVR....
