Sorry Rich no offence intended, but you know how these things go. Just wanted to generate interest. I think it will be a great day and a good opportunity for the TVR clan to get together.

Moderator - why has the Charity event post been deleted ?? I could not see anything wrong with the chap posting he was trying to organise a track day for charity and see if people would be interested ?? I posted what I thought was a helpful and informative reply which he can no doubt no longer see ??

Charity threads are not allowed to be posted on the forums as per the rules of posting No. 16.

All such threads are deleted by routine, if any member wishes to post such a thread, then prior approval from Haymarket must be obtained.

HTH explain.

Which as Big Al. has helpfully indicated does not mean you "can't", only that you must "ask first".

There are quite a number of charity events listed in other threads so encourage the organiser to ask away!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this was Barrie's initiative, he was drawing our attention to it elsewhere. I first saw it on the Aston section but can'y find any reference to it there. frown It looked like it could have been a good day out.

From memory I saw one of the original threads in the Ferrari section last week. I think it was being proposed by a guy who is a member of the "Sporting Bears" and who is looking to get the Southern area of that group up and running again. The Sporting Bears have regular charity events and this was one that other regions did that the Southern area wanted to arrange for their group. I can't find anything official on their web site but the name of the 2011 event mentioned in the original threads is clearly visible smile
