Offord Open Day

TVR specialists to host BBQ and open day on September 18th

Offord Motor Company in Cambridgeshire is to open its doors on Saturday September 18th. If you've considered using them but haven't had a chance to pop in and have a chat then this will be the ideal opportunity.

Located in the little village of Offord Darcy, Offord Motor Company are located just over the road from a pub (which is nice) and they've arranged to have a barbeque laid on for the event.

They'll be happy to stick your car up on a ramp for a once over or simply to have a chat over what your needs are.

If you think you'll be going along, drop them a line just so that they can get an idea of numbers for the BBQ.

Nice people. *Very* nice people. Pity it's the Loton Park sprint the next day!

Where is Offord Darcy - it doesn't show on my route planner?
Any postcode or full address?

It lies a couple of miles south of Godmanchester, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Try Offord Cluny on your route planner.

There's a map on the web site!

Come off the A1 at Buckden. Their postcode for Mapquest is PE19 5RH.

(I'm only a (happy) customer.)

[spelling desk]There's an apostrophe in D'Arcy, which might make the search work[/spelling desk]

It's signed from the A1 as 'The Offords'.

Depends who you speak to regarding the apostrophe it seems. Some locals reckon it has, some reckon it hasn't.

You're saying it's a local apostrophe for local people?

Interesting you should say that, as I took the wrong turning when I went to get my exhausts done and asked directions from a man who a) was mesmirised by my watch and b) had the same grasp of the outside world as Edward and Tubbs.

However, this in no way offset my welcome at Offords, the great job they did on my exhaust and the fun to be had in their ("its had a tweak here and there") Saab loan car

Similarly irrelevent fact in that the apostrophe is also there in Toleshunt D'Arcy (Essex - not far from Gt. Totham).

There's also a track day on at Bassingbourn that day - it's only about 20m away.

They had some spare places when I spoke to them last week if anyone fancies combining the two.....
