Twin Turbos

Here is a really stupid question,in my defence it is monday morning.

If you have twin turbos fitted do you need two turbo pressure dials or can you run them both off a single dial on the dash ?

Only one, boost is boost no matter how many turbos you got. All goes in the same place.

Most twin turbo setups will feed into a single intercooler so pressure will be shared and can be measured once.. its unusual for twin turbo setups to have totally independant pipework, which is probably the only time you would need(want) two separate measurements..

one last question,do dials tend to come in a standard pressure format or do you have to specify what set up you have to the dial manufacturer.

Usually Bar or PSI depending on your preference, and inHg (iirc?) for the vacuum side

So we are looking at 2 dials then ?

No, it'll be one gauge.. but will show positive pressure/boost in either bar or psi, and then when pressure drops below 0 (into vacuum) the scale will read in inHg (or mmHg).. because PSI/BAR would be the incorrect units for vacuum
