Hi guys, if insurance is due try Direct line for a quote. They have a 20% introductory discount at the moment and are insuring TVR's. Out of all the quotes I have received recently they have beaten everyone hands down.I always thought you could only get a good deal with the specialists but this is not the case these days.

Do Direct line give market value or an agreed value in a write-off situation? Most mainstream insurers only give market value, which can be a can of worms with TVRs!

Direct Line are fine in year one.

Just watch out for the automatic renewal in year two.

That's when they start to try and claw the profit out of you.

At this point you need to switch to MSM.

Been with Direct Line for the past three years. When I wrote off my Griff 500 I had everything sorted out very quickly and as long as my renewals are within a few pounds of the specialists I will stay with them because of that.

I've had the Sagaris insured with DirectLine for the last 4 years, their price was considerably less than other insures and its went down £200 (!) this year (and it wasn't that much to start with as I've 9 years NCD + protected)

Never had to claim though.

I think agreed avalue for a Sag is becoming an essential now. I will definitely be only insuring with a company that does that come renewal time. I'd deffo ask DL if they do that.

Mannings definitely do (for below 7000 miles/annum). Check out the wiki...
