Exhaust wrap vs. ceramic coat?

We all know Zircotec coatings are very good, but they are very expensive. I was quoted circa £400 for the basic coating on my speed 6 manifolds.

As an alternative wraps do a similar job although not as pretty and I've heard they can cause accelerated corrosion due to condensation and trapping of water. Is this really true? Does anyone have first hand experience of this?

As an alternative, I found this which looks quite nice and is reasonably priced.

I have got wrap on the manafolds of my Taimar but they are stainless steel, I would never warp a mild steel as ive seen them creat a bit of steam when heating up, im sure this would lead to the steel getting thin and failing.
But the heat difference is anazing though.
If you go for warp use S/S ties to hold it togeather.

Not sure if it helps but Zircotec has a lower cost coating called Primary that is a bit cheaper than its usual offering. It is only in black, not the full colour range

I was quoted £403 for primary black, £576 for performance white and £662 for a performance colour. Price for both V8 manifolds, excluding Y piece. May be of help...

Would getting them shot blasted and painted with VHT paint before wrapping prevent them deteriorating under the wrap?

Had mine done by camcoat, and found them reasonable on price, so much so i did inside and out!

used camcote on my s6 manifolds black inside silver outside much cheaper than zircotec

Used camcoat, inside and out, on my old Tasmin race car manifolds. Lasted 6 races and fell off. Their response was, shall we say, less than helpful.
