Hi All

My little sis is getting married at the end of April and as a lifelong fan of all things noisy and fast (we brought her up well) she is keen to have a mini TVR parade/escort at her wedding. Now it's highly likely my Tam will have gone by then sadly but it would be good to see a nice spread of V6s, V8s and Speed 6s to shatter the peace.

This is her request, she's not one to do things by half......

It would be great if we can have a TVR escort from the wedding to the reception? We'd ideally want 7 in front, 7 behind, any type and colour, and to escort us from the church via a trip round the local villages, to Aynhoe Park, where they would park up outside for photos then depart.

If it could be done it'd be fab!!

So, she just wants a mere 14 cars... jesus christ I swear we had different parents at times! The location is Aynhoe Park which is not too far from Banbury and the date is 28th April, I've scoped it out and there are lots of stone walls and narrow-ish streets to have a bit of sound bouncing around for good effect. The place where she's having the reception is a great location and will look stunning with an array of TVRs out front, she's also said that they'll send copies of all the TVR photos to all the owners and you may also get a glass of champers too.

I'll be amazed if we can get 14 cars, but aim high and all that! I think any that we can get would be more than appreciated and like she says, any car and colour, it just has to say TVR on the front and make a lot of noise at the back.

Thanks all and fingers crossed

Damian

Unfortunately, 28th of April is Chatsworth weekend so I suspect most TVRs will be up Sheffield way.

You could drop Mike (RO for Oxfordshire) an email and see if he can help.

Banbury is outside my area so given the date and location, I can't suggest anyone who might be able to help...

Oh snap!
I would have been more than happy to come up for your sis, but as has already been mentioned, its Chatsworth weekend and I'll be heading up with my wife minus kids.
So, it's a weekend of filth and debauchery for me and if theres any time left from playing with the TVRs, I may even have some sexy time with the missus smokin

It's a possibility for me, as we won't be going up to Chatsworth until the Sunday and we're not a million miles from Aynho... Just need to double check that the 28th is ok for me....and can you organise some nice weather so the roof stays off the Tam? She won't need church bells, my TVR Power sports exhaust will make enough er, music to entertain the neighbours smile

Thanks chaps, serves me right for not looking at the events calendar! Thanks to the volunteers and maybes so far, any type or colour taken. Not sure quite who she has for the bridesmaids but it could be the spanish twins, so I'll put in a good word for you.....

The wedding itself is 2pm, so the drive from the church to the reception is probably going to be about 3pm

Cheers

Typical - this is right on my doorstep (I'm in Brackley) but my Chim will be at Sportmotive having its chassis sorted (and lots of other things too). It goes in on 7th April so unlikely that I will have it back in time, but if I do I will be happy to come along and make some noise.

that will be to late for me I'm afraid as I'm hoping to be in Chatsworth Saturday afternoon.
I hope the remaining cars pull together and make your sisters day as special as she deserves.
Sorry we can't make it.
Good luck on the day.

Looks like we should be able to get together a great selection of motors there, I'll let her know how we're getting on and put more info up as we get closer

Damian,

Have you posted this on all the seperate model forums, if people are like me they will migrate to their model forum and then check General Stuff & Gossip less often. The more publicity you can get the better the numbers will be.

I did a wedding a few years ago when 13 cars turned up, if you can get 14 that will be great.
