Anyone used Autoglass in South Yorks

Following on from a recent Tuscan thread it seems that it's pot luck as to whether they have staff suitably experienced in TVR's - anyone used them in the Sheffield/Chesterfield areas.

No experience in that area...but why not ask the Autoglass branch themselves?
That's what I did. Laid it on thick that I'd want to see the start the procedure, it was my P&J etc. and they were more than happy for me to sit in the workshop the whole time if needs be.

Ok, i don't actually know how much a replacement screen should cost, but i received a quote today which truly shocked me, anyone care to guess?

Hi Chris, yes i can claim on my insurance, so not really an issue, apart from the £60 excess............ erm try again

Well I've obviously not got anything better to do, Racing Green are selling them for £412 excl fitting, but in the spirit of the game, I'll go £1,053.26

Very good, ready for it.................................................£1,122.00, and he told me it would take precisely 52 minutes to fit.

So rounding down to about £10 per minute, not a bad rate. Thank god for the insurance then!!!

Update:-
Sent the car to RaceProved, i don't know who they used, but £650 including VAT for what appears to be a very good job, no trim damage, all seals in place and both doors still close properly

Result. Did insurance pay for it? Is this at the new location?

Yes insurance will pay for it less an excess - £60 if i used Mannings recommended company Autoglass, or £100 if i used a company of my choice. Yes it was at the new location.
