Thanks to plasticman I've now taken delivery of my cerbera 4.2 engine that'll hopefully eventually be finding it's way into the joospeed V8S track day warrior machine.

trouble is, I have no idea what the finished car should be called ..

will it be a CerberaS, Scerbera, or does anyone who's infinately better read than me know of a cross-bred animal from greek mythology that TVR might have used for a name had they created such a monster themselves ..?

ladies and gentlemen, it's over to you ..

Greek stuff about Cerbera said:

Cerberus | Greek Mythology

The dreadful offspring of monsters Typhon and Echidna, Cerberus is a three-headed dog. He is a watchdog of the underworld, stopping anyone who would try and return to the world of the living.

Cerberus has two siblings: the Hydra and the Chimaera. Similar to the gorgons, Cerberus is so hideous that anyone who looked at him would turn to stone.

'ooo ' might be a good name. It's probably the words most passengers will utter.

Anything's better than the TESCOT badge adorning the back of my car

Something along the lines of "ohmygodi'mgonnadie!" seems apt

I take it a brake upgrade is part of the grand plan too?

how's about cerberus? because then you are involving large amount of cerbera but also involving an S and i think cerberus sounds even better than cerbera

I think something along the lines of this, I'm sure a Cerbera badge could be doctored somehow to Serbera

Scrap metal

I thought the Cerb engine never found its way into the Griff was because of the power and the inability of the chassis to handle it.

How is a V8S gonna handle a Cerb V8.

I knew the relationship with Chimaera and Typhon but had to Google for the others.
