RAC, AA or another?

Been with the RAC for tha last year and it's renewal time. For the level of cover I've got (everything bar European cover) it's costing me around £120. Only had to use them once last year (flat battery) but will definitely keep using someone.

So, the question is this. Stick with RAC or can someone else do a decent service, including European cover, for similar money? And before someone suggests it, my insurance doesn't give me anything.

One thing to check with the RAC is the price for renewal is usually higher than the joining price for new members one way round this is if you have a joint membership then swap main account holders each year

just renewed with A.Manning and got offered recovery for £49 - full Europe cover.

Depends what you do for a living, but....

CSMA linked with Brittania Rescue costs both me and the missus £99 per year, with gold deluxe cover for the both of us with the TVR covered for European cover as well...

Go to the CSMA website to see if your profession makes you eligible...
If not just try Britt Rescue anyway.

Second vote for Manning's here, although you have to be a car club member, and possibly be insured with them too.

As someone who spent years in the recovery game, my vote would always be for Britannia Rescue. Set very high standards for their agents. Pay well - expect the best.

I joined CSMA years ago when working in the public sector, and now use Britannia rescue (£99 family membership)and Frizzell insurance (business use, unlimited miles, protected etc. £620).
