Smaller front plate please
Discussion
I had a slightly smaller front plate on my Chimaera and now want to get one for the T350. However I cannot remember where I got one from. I looked on fancyplates' website and there does not seem to be an option for sizing.
Anyone got any suggestions where to get one? I don't want anything different in terms of font/spacing or writing/GB stickers, just the slightly smaller (just illegal) bike-ish size.
Thanks.
P.S. One of my many pet hates - GB signs/markings on the front numberplate. Er why? I've never even had a GB badge of any kind on the back

got mine from www.gtgrafix.co.uk (maybe .com) - good service and delivery within the week
Be a bit careful here Trefor as all cars reg after Sep 2001 have to comply with new-style plates (Font etc and size). Ignoring that fact (as most of us do) I know that Fancyplates do them in bespoke sizes - you just input the plate size you want in the Customise Your Plate section. I got just a shorter plate for mine as it has a short number - and the font is a bit smaller.

And on the subject of car plates, what twit decided that yellow rear plates were easier to read or more visible than white? No other country in the world does it. Another bureaucratic stupidity. I just love seeing dark cars with big yellow plates on their rear.
It's so the really stupid numpties know what's the front of the car and what's the back, in case they inadvertantly get into the back seat to drive and find their steering wheel has been stolen.

Thanks chaps, I'll take a closer look at fancy plates' site or the other site - I didn't see an option for dimensions before.
Don't need TVR on the plate though ... it says TVR 2 inches above anyway
Give MikeyT a shout - he had the tinyest plate I've ever seen on his old Chim and didn't get pulled ...
...mind you I don't think he used it much and them fenlands are preety big and sparsley policed.

fancyplates do em 3/4 size.
I've got a set, small one on front of my tuscan.
never has any probs with the rozzers.. as it's standard fonts, etc unless it's actually next to a full size plate it's pretty difficult to tell.
Just looks so much better than having a barn door on the front:

Looks very good on yours. Just the right proportion so as not to notice it's a small one, but actually is.

Love the reg. no. Just looked at the pics on your profile - the one of the front of the car completely filled the screen when it opened and I had to scroll down to see the reg plate. Seemed very appropriate as the Tuscan dominated the screen...

I allways carry the correct size one in the boot just incase and for MOT time.
AS i remeber Bikers getting pulled over for having a small plate and the BIB telling them couldnt ride it unless it had the legal size on, of course they then had to get teh bike recovered.
BB
I do exactly the same, been fined £30 for my front one already - you can also get 3 points!

must keep away from Devon BiB, did they pull you over just cos of the plate size? You'd think after spouting out some overheating issues with BIb they would see sense.

Yep, McPlod going opposite direction, did a U-turn after he saw me pull into the pub and made a show of me in the car park!
Nice touch!
