Mini Le Mans/PistonFest meet at Thruxton?

Morning all

The Britsh GT, F3 and TVR Tuscan circus moves to Thruxton on 29/30 August - with the bulk of the racing on the Bank Holiday Monday.

Thruxton is a nice circuit - accessible and reasonable facilities. And unbelievably fast. Which is nice

I wondered whether anyone would be up for a PH meeting, with a PistonFest style overnighter? I was truly impressed with the set up the Le Mans crowd had at PF - the Fish's enclosure with hardwood furniture, gazebo and fridge was a sight to behold If sufficient people were interested it could be a bloody good weekend - beers, BBQ and camping on the Sunday night with racing on Monday to distract from the hangover.

In the event of rain there is the circuit bar, and the Insane Racing awning is big enough to accomodate quite a large number of people. And we can provide a sound system etc...

So, anyone up for it?

Well I'll be there. I go to as many of the Brit GT/TVR Tuscan races as possible and this one is on my door step (bloody big doorstep then, takes an hour to reach Thruxton!).

If there is anything good happening like parade laps please someone keep me informed. I'd very much like to do something good since its my local circuit.

My suggestion was a bloody good piss up at the circuit, so camping is probably the order of the day....

I'll probably be up for that. I've already shortened my holiday to go down there anyway .

Hopefully will get down there Monday, Got a wedding on saturday(that time of year isnt it) so will be useless on the Sunday.

Actually I was just looking for a way to bump this brilliant idea further up the list.


Looks like there is already a lot of interest for a number of regions. Lets get as many of us together as possible for a grand end of summer bash.

Im currently waiting to see whats on offer for us as Ive asked them for a decent plot for all TVRCC members.

I'll be staying saturday night. The clouds are nice over Andover.

Bloody typical, just down the road and we are away that weekend - may be able to pop in on the Monday if we get away from our weekend events early.
