Just want to say Chris and Dave at D and C Trim in Blackpool are top blokes!

They replaced the roof on my Chimaera and the standard and quality of the work is superb. The attention to detail is unbelievable. They both explained how they do the work showing you the templates and methods of carrying out the work.

On top of that, the welcome you get is kind of "old school" in so much that there's no corporate bullsh*t......instead it's "would you like a cuppa?" and "no need for a taxi, I'll give you a lift to the train station". Chris was also waiting at the train station for me when I arrived back at Blackpool to pick my car up. Nothing was too much trouble.

PLUS........a quick tour round the adoining units including Surface and Design.

So refreshing to get proper customer care.

A 620 mile round trip from where I live in sleepy Suffolk - plus the train fares - but worth every penny.

I would absolutely recommend them to carry out re-trim work on TVR's and have now started saving to get the inside done!

A few pics of the finished work! Thanks again!

I would second this. I took my Griffith up last summer from Arundel, West Sussex for the carpets and roof to be replaced and the service was excellent. Well worth it. Also Mike Vernon is based in the same yard, and he is able to service and carry out any mechanical work whilst you are in Blackpool. With S&D next door it is a one stop place for all you need, with the added bonus of taking the TVR back home.

My vote too. Chris and Dave replaced the targa hood/rear screen, and the windscreen/door seal on my Griff a couple of weeks ago. A first rate job. The quality of the work is second to none and definitely shows compared to trimming I've seen done elsewhere. I can't recommend them enough.

The guys can do no wrong - I took mine there nearly 3 years ago for new carpets and got the same warm welcome. Truly top blokes and great to hear that they are still going strong.

Another thumb's up for Dave and Chris at D&C.
They do my trim work for me at my company as i like to keep as much TVR work amongst all us ex factory workers as possible, in our little TVR community here in Blackpool.

I hadn't pulled and fitted the roof down correctly to the velcro that is fixed to the body when I took these pics. My fault! frown

When correct it looks ace! biggrin

Another thumbup for Chris and Dave.

I recently ordered a carpet mat for the drivers side. It arrived quickly but unfortunately the wrong colour which under the circumstances was always possibly going to happen.

No problem, I returned it and received the correct colour mat (it could have been 1 of only 2, typical we gambled on the wrong one first!) a couple of days later for no extra cost.

Fantastic quality. I never thought I'd be so pleased to receive a piece of material in the post. biglaugh But, that's TVR's for you, I suppose.

Top blokes / Top company. smile

I had my hood replaced and a full re-trim by D + C ,I am very pleased with the first class job . I live in the north east ,I have seen a re -hood done by a guy in Shildon Co. Durham who did away with the velcro and replaced with press studs this looked so much better, and only a few months ago I saw another re -hood by someone in Middlesboro who inserts alloy plates in the bottom edges -this is the best looking way of finishing the hood near to the doors as I have seen. I will try to get some pics.

Hi Paul

Sorry for late reply but haven't had a chance to get on PH lately.

Yep, that was me that turned up on the Saturday morning as you were preparing for your journey back. Your Griff looked lovely by the way.

Also, I was born (a blimmin long time ago now!) in Chippenham, Wilts. Marshall Street to be precise!

Hey fella, I have been looking forward to this thread after you mentioned your car was up at D&C Trim

Looks like an absolutely fantastic job and great to hear you are another happy D&C Trim customer. I am tempted to book mine in next year and possibly go for one of those split roof jobbies at the same time.

Hopefully catch up soon thumbup
