Hi all

Nick and I have been discussing the arrangements for a joint meeting to be held on August the 15th at The Woodman in Ide Hill.

Here is the plan for the Hants members.

8.30am sharp departure from Wickam Square and head up towards the A272.

Adam (DustyC) I believe you've been there before and may know a good route up? Possibly along the A272 and then briefly up the A22 then north on the B2026...

This will be a good run up to the meeting place.

The food is very good though we will need to be there hopefully around 12 noon to secure tables as they cant be booked hence leaving at 8.30am.

If anyone has any queries please email me through my profile as I'm very busy at the mo' and I wont be on PH every day to answer your posted replies!

Thanks
Craig

I think Tony (T88CAN) is trying to organise a Tuscan Owners Day for the 15th as well.

Sorry but the date has been set.
Not everybody drives an S

Ive just spoken to Tony and he hasn't been organising a Tuscan meet for this year as he is on Holiday on that date. Please can we get our facts right before replying with such things.

If you have other arrangements then fair enough.
We know we cant please everyone!

Hiya mate. We havent booked a hotel yet but needs to be cheap(ish) as although its a bday treat for me money is tied up in a few business ventures at the moment. I'm skint basically!

and also the TVR having £2k thrown at her in the last 2 months

any recommendations? I expect your lavish lifestyle means they would only be in the form of 5 star luxury

I'll be happy to help but will have to meet you half way along the A272. I can guide you from there.

The route is a really good drive. Bumped into so many other Tivs that day.
On the way back its even better because the roads are quieter.

When I meet you on the A272 I'll be bringing other Tivs along too.
(Im just off to confirm that).

I'll sort a meeting place in due course. I could make it a "rolling meet" to save everyone having to stop.

I've always stayed outside Amsterdam and travelled in. I've got a house there so can't really justify a hotel as well. I love the hussle of it all but when I've had enough I don't want to hear it all night. I know a couple of hotels but they are as you say, top end ,(I'm sure it's not your top end you're worried about though ) I have just mailed a mate of mine in Amsterdam to let me know who's got what on offer at the moment. Will mail you through your profile with some answers later this afternoon
Ciao

a house there... of course, i should have thought about it!

cheers for that mate - let me know if any decent deals are going on - if not its a case of searching the web and finding something. Since its only a weekend we are going to stay fairly central. Last time i was there we were a 10 minute tram ride away and although it was more relaxed I think we want the hussle and bussle this time since its only a few nights.

Shnozz, if Krustys one is full I stayed in a place called "?" (I have forgotten the name but have their card at home!).
It was just round the corner from the Grasshopper, near the train station. About the same price I think.

We didnt book it though, just turned up and got a room. Was only the second place we asked in and there were about 20 of us so Id say it was pretty easy to get rooms.

It wasnt that great but they had nice clouds there

Call me an old fart if you like - but I thought this thread was about Hants region coming to join us for lunch - or did I misread the title.

If thats the case, could a mod please retitle it?
