Fact can be stranger than fiction

For reasons known only to my cognative thearapist I sold my beloved Tuscan 2 years ago and purchased a car without soul from Germany.

Whe I sold the Tuscan I had little interest from the UK but some from Europe. To cut to the chase I sold the car to Francois from France. He flew into Newcastle Airport 2 years ago, jumped into the car and drove off.

The car was showing 31k miles at the time.

Francois has kept in touch with me ever since, sending pereodic emails of the car sunbathing in Vinyards, on holiday at le Mans etc... it now has 39k miles.

2 years later and I have realised that I 'need' another Tuscan and listening to my heart I'd like my old one back - and it may be fo sale!

Questions:

Im not sure if its still on the UK plates - should it be on French by now? Im waiting for a reply on that point.

Either way what are the Customs issues with re importing a Blackpool car? as it was initially UK regd and may still be is it easier? if its now on French plates will that complicate matters?

If I dont go for my old one then I will be on the hunt for a mint 2001 ish Tuscan. It has to be totally mint
and ideally a lighter colour.

Sorry cant offer any advise but hope it works out.
I wrecked my first Tuscan about 3 years sgo and I've never been so upset over loosing anything like that before.
All the pain evaporated when I got my current Tuscan.
Just love Tuscans.

be great to get the old one back,
im dont no anything about importing but imagine it would go off the vin numbers etc so shouldnt be too hard be more of a case of explaining to the dvla how to do their job

Relatively easy to bring back.

Dvla website is straight forward enough.

The 'difficult' bit is when it gets to uk as a permanent import it needs an mot.

Have one booked or trailer it.

Of course your intention at the time could be to temporarily import the vehicle. IYSWIM.
