My first accident whilst in the car
Discussion
Life can be a sh!t sometimes.
On Monday I dropped the Chimaera off at Harrogate Horseless to be repaired after a neighbour reversed into it. I had left my screw drivers and socket set in the boot and went over this evening to fetch them as I was going to tinker with the Tuscan this weekend. I decided to come back the scenic route and got a bit lost, but some good roads so who cares. Coming down a hill to a tight left hander I slow and then stop as an articulated lorry appears at the corner. He stops, I try to select reverse and stall  He then comes round the corner before I have the car started and only stops when I shout, the guy behind me flashes his lights. The side of the trailer only just scraped the wing and I now have some nice scuff marks and 4 parallel scratches down to the fibre. I can see why this road has a weight restriction, however I don't think the driver knew it.
2 dings in a month or so, one on each car, neither my fault. Its not a good month for me

Anyway no real harm done - I'm OK and I'm sure the paintwork can be fixed.
Off to the pub for a

Hope you get it fixed soon.
That's right....so many traffic jams we don't get above 50 most of the time...
Having driven your roads recently B T P I can't see you ever thinking of leaving.....

Remind me to stay well out of the way of you on the Holy Island Hoon. ![]()
Bad luck Bob - Hope it's an easy fix. Screw the lorry driver for all he's worth.
You should be OK Byff, the cars only have problems when they are stationary. Depending on whether the Chim passes its MoT first time, you will be able to inspect the damage on the Hoon !
Thanks to all for the kind words - I am feeling a bit better this morning !
