Which air filter to use for my chim??
Discussion
I think it's about time I replaced my air filter on my chim. On the dyno recently we noticed a drop off in power at the very top end and number 1 suspect is a collapsing filter. Not only that but when the car is being driven around, standing near it you can very clearly hear it sucking through the filter, so I think the flow may not be best at the moment..
I currently have an ACT k&n filter and induction piping up to the supercharger plenum so I'm wondering, do I just replace this or would I be better off trying to get something with higher flow capacity.. Im not really sure what other options I have:- what are the bmc cda filters like?

I've got a BMC CDA filter on my Rover Tomcat Turbo...
Works great, but then it is situated within the engine bay, and that's where the carbon housing is of benefit in keeping the hot air out (sucks in through the wheel arch, with filter itself sited within the engine bay).
Assuming it's the Chim - as the filter itself is situated outside of the engine bay on the other side of the rad, I can't see that there's any benefit to having the carbon housing, and indeed it might even hinder the airflow if the carbon housing was positioned "crossways" across the valance nose cone...
