I parked up in a carpark today went to lock my car and nothing not a dicky bird, zilch nada nothing.
I called out the RAC he tested my remote which was working fine but also detected large amounts in areal interference which was blocking my remotes signal.
Thing is there was nothing in the area, a big farmers field to one side and a bowling place to the other so nothing obvious causing the interference unless something in the bowling complex was to blame.
I put the remote as near to my alarm unit as possible and it worked perfect.

The RAC man said this is getting more and more common on all types of cars.
So worth remembering if your remote suddenly lets you down with no warning.

Any wireless weather stations, or oil tank sensors around? The two times it has happened to me, it's been that.

Couldn't see anything. I was in the middle of a fairly large carpark. But there might have been something behind the trees or just out of site. I have parked up in there before with no problems but then maybe my batteries were fresher or what ever caused it wasn't on at the times.

The only other time it has happened to me was on a ferry but it was warned it may happen.
