Not really, But I reckon it would be a success if they did.

The RV8 is out the window now but they could use the LS2 or, if they want to stick with their own, the AJP8.

The car would need a few little upgrades but I reckon it would be a seller. The Lotus 7 and Morgan Plus shapes have sold for years so it could work.

I know Id buy a new Griff or Chim as an upgrade.

I realise it wouldnt ever happen, but I bet they would sell if they brought the cars out again, especially with a bit of development money thrown in.

I wouldn't buy one for many reasons which encouraged me to swap my Chimaera for a Tamora. Nostalgia can be a wonderful thing (in hindsight.)

I do actually like Chims.
I only have the banter with you lot (the Chim owners) because you are the only ones that can take it.

(The S club would too but they are too busy picking lunch from their beards to type )

If they started making new ones I might even buy a Chim just for the shape change.

But only so that I could really admire the Griff when I changed back again

don't you mean "driving a Chim gives you a grin" and "you need a Spliff to go out in a Griff" ??? I love it when Dusty starts these threads.....

Oi... I've shaved off my beard now

Is this a jealousy thing - the fact that we have time to sit around picking seconds from our beards, while you try to fix your broken down griffs

A facelifted Griff or Chim with a (reliable) Ford or Jag V8? They would sell like hot cakes.

i'm with you Dusty, fit the LS2 tune if up to around 400bhp

then modernise the interior slightly, fit the AP brakes from the current range(and 18" spiders of course). 6 speed box and oh yeah made the roof go totaly flat and have some kind of rollover hoops and they'll be into a winner!

just don't screw the shapes up though!

Nano2nd, Thats exactly what I mean. Wouldnt they be just the best cars ever.

I guess Marcos have seen this idea already though hence the TSO and TS500.

Come on TVR, do it!

Steady on DustyCI like my steak like my Griff rare (sparse;uncommon;infrequent;precious; meat like underdone) so I say "OI NO" what Griff owners have is ALL of the above (except underdone) so why make it otherwiseJT

Is the 4.5 Chim finally off the price lists then? I reckon if you pitch up to the new boss, chequebook in hand, you might just get a new Griff if you smile and complement him on his choice of tie (or whatever)
