Time is almost upon me for my 24k service so my thoughts turn to who is going to do the best job for the best price. Do I take it to a TVR dealer or entrust it to the factory from where it was born (and re-built).

Your experiences, thoughts and comments are most welcome.

Cheers,

and

The factory service department are very good, although you do have to book well in advance. Prices also much cheaper than dealers.

Depends where you are in the country. Try SFR in Stockport if in the North West.

I rang the factory on monday for a price, I think they're going to call me back, one day.....

Does anywhere lend you a TVR as a courtesy car ?

If so, when they say your clutch will be here within the next 6 months, you wont be TVRless & dissapointed.

The factory

Even if you live in the south of the country, you can fly Ryanair to Blackpool from 99p plus taxes from Stansted..

I'd have thought if you're anywhere near teh north west you'd automatically use the factory. Gorners in Wigan have a loyal following so they must be doing a lot of stuff well, but I would have thought the factory was the natural choice ..?

Can you take your car on then?

It's a service he wants, not a visit!

I met Garth at the weekend, who works I think in servicing at the factory - might be the manager actually (was listening to what he had to say, not checking his job title - oops lol). What a top bloke - really committed and easy to get along with too

Saying that, mine won't be going anywhere other than Joospeed in the near future

Great to report that the list of people I'd trust with my car is growing - like Garth, like Racing Green, like Silverstone, like Guglielmi. Things are getting better and better I think

You know when people have loads of quotes in their post, if you read all the 'x' said bits, it sounds like Vicky Pollard posting, or is it just me
