Is the Rover V8 Euro I compliant? (LEZ in Europe)

I have learnt that there are these "Low Emission Zones" across Europe which limit the kinds of cars/trucks that can drive through them. Cars have to be "Euro I" compliant.

Is my Chim500 Euro I compliant?

Anyone had any issues driving their TVR through these areas?

My 400 chimp is Euro 2 and received the top 'green' coloured emissions zone sticker. Don't know about the 500s but the Owner of the TVR parts distributor here in Germany (Eckhard) owns a 500 Chimp. Give him a call and ask.

How come one is allowed to name-and-praise but name-and-shame isn't allowed here? Doesn't that turn lack of praise automatically into a shaming of sorts? Isn't that a bit stupid and biased?

Even though I was ripped off for shoddy workmanship at an exorbitant cost, this TVR indy may have carried out excellent work for a sensible cost.

because people generally dont sue for praise, but they do for name and shame... If someone decides to take ph to court even if they ultimately loose it costs haymarket ( and also the poster) a lot of time and money..

This has happened and took over 18 months to resolve..

Wait, so I need some kind of sticker for my car?

Is there a different one needed for each zone? I will be driving through various countries and zones.

Yep, getting the thread back on topic (sorry)...here in Germany we have to have a sticker in the lower right-hand corner of the windscreen (very annoying with a RHD car!) so the 'wanna-be-bobbies' can immediately tell if we need to be towed/clamped etc when in a low emission zone. The german one looks like this:

...and the colour/number refers to the emissions class. The green one is the best grade and lets you everywhere, the others depend on what the rules of that particular town are (i.e. you need to look up the relative 'Umweltzone' of the town before going or you'll end up having to park just outside and use a park+ride type affair).

This is Germanys rule however...I have no idea what the rest of Europe are doing.

Looks like we missed going anywhere it is enforced, anyway. Unless it becomes more widespread it looks easy enough to avoid anywhere with it in place. I'll prop up the Euro in more accomodating places.

BTW, you are NOT forced to put the sticker in the lower right corner of the windscreen. So no probs with a RHD car...

I wanted to keep my route fluid which allows me to stop off at various cities as and when I need a break from driving.

Does this mean I have to buy a LEZ sticker for each city I am going passed? My windscreen will be full!

In Germany there's only one Sticker for the whole Country, no single stickers for every city.

Hmm, the TÜV here told me it MUST go in a windscreen corner on the right (top or Bottom). Its difficult arguing with retards so I just accepted this one. There are enough other issues here for me to use my energy fighting for.

There are no LEZ in Switzerland (but we have probably more speeding cameras than anywhere else )
