A Blast From A Blackpool Past
Discussion
I was introduced to a British guy called Alan French yesterday who emigrated to Indianapolis in 1964. He worked as a technician for our dealership group from the mid sixties to 2000 when he retired. He told me he was from Blackpool and when I meantioned TVR he told me that he had worked for them in the 1950's under Trevor Wilkinson! It's a small world we live in. I wonder if any of the old TVR people remember back that far and worked with Alan?
Funny how the TVR web spreads so far.
I was at the 'Rally for Heroes' fundraiser at Weston-s-Mare early May and got talking to a chap with a SAAB 93 (think it had the 2-stroke motor). In the course of chatting he mentioned that he'd had a Grantura in the mid/late 60's and had a discussion with Trevor regarding the propensity for snapping drive shafts. Small world and all that.
