TVR owners not very freindly
Discussion
Martin,
I'm sure the new RO's would be disappointed to hear that some of their members are not as welcoming as they should be. The club is for enthusiasts not just owners. I've had the same happen to me at some other regional meets. That is one striking car!(lovely plate too!).
Steve_T and I couldn't make it last night due to work commitments but I wish we had because we would have said hello. Don't be put off by a couple of individuals as this is usually a great meet.
A handful of the Surrey crowd generally turn up too so we'll keep a look out for you at future events.
Karen
That'll be us with the mon-keh!.

Just looked in your profile to see where you live - probably too far for you but look in the East Anglia PHers section for gatherings. All types welcome to our bashes - and there are a couple of Nobles too
Next "do" is the Rougham airshow, email me if you want info (quick though as times running out for spaces).
Does your profile pic show the new "short wheel base" version Noble?

Sorry you didn't feel we were friendly but please do try again. Your car caused quite a stir on its arrival and I for one am really like to see other erotica come and visit (the Jensen SV8 was one such) but I didn't get a chance to say hello before you went. Some of us take a bit of time before we feel we can talk to new people
To be honest, I didn't think it was one of the better Ace meets. Far too many bikes parking all over the place so a lot of us got blocked in by them. It also meant there were far too many people so it was difficult to find/talk to everyone who came for the meet.
It felt like a bikers meet and not a TVRCC meet

Obviously I was driving the wrong make of car. Martin.
Wrong make of car? Certainly not IMHO check out my profile list of fantasy cars!
That's a real shame you were made to feel unwelcome
Us South-Coasters are a friendly crowd if ever you fancy a trip to the seaside! How about POTB111 on 5 September? Ropey (Matt) is coming from London (West - I think) >> Edited by cosmoschick on Saturday 7th August 15:27
I would have been very glad to have a chat with you last night but to be honest it looked to me as if you were looking for somebody in particular - didn't find him/her and then just shot off.
I must also say that there were an awful lot of people there who were there with their bikes - maybe you just spoke to them.
It is difficult to know whether people are there for a gas about their cars or just want to be left alone to do their own thing.
In a car like yours if you want to chat to people about the car just open the engine cover and you will get a good crowd in no time.
Sorry if you felt unwelcome it certainly is not the case, please give us another go next month and we'll keep an eye out for you.

I have found them friendly. Certaily people have come and talked to me and this was my second visit. Barry always says hello so I think its all about approach. I reckon you must have come after I left (unless I am blind), I would have said hi as I am a fan of nobles.

I've been along to the 'Ace' quite a few times .. and found it pretty friendly.
Takes a few meetings before you really start to know a few people. It's no different to any other TVR CC meeting.
It can get a bit cramped with the bikers sometimes..
Matt is always very friendly and welcoming !

Would just like to say that my earlier remarks were said in a jovial manner, and I would like to say sorry if i caused offence to anyone. TVR owners are the same as all petrolheads, freindly and good fun to be around, and I appologise if I gave any other view. It's true that I found it hard to get talking to the several people I started conversations with, but to be fair, if you're talking to a mate you havn't seen for weeks and a complete stranger tries to but in, well I know I'd be a bit off. Anyway, 'nuff said, Martin.
