Audio Amplifier Grounding... whats the opinion ?
Discussion
Fitting an amp in the boot of the tuscan.
What's the opinion of people here about grounding
for amps on tvrs (being fibreglass) ?
1) run the ground wire right back to -ve terminal
2) run it to a bit of chassis if you can find one (would petrol tank do?)
3) run it back to near battery, but earth it on chassis somewhere, not directly on battery.
I've heard all 3 of these put forward as the MUST do solution, so which one do folk in the know here use (and why).

I've got 2 amps in the boot of my Chimp, a 2x150w+1x100w sub out and a 1x200w bass amp feeding 2 9" 3 ways, an 8" and a 12" sub. I ran a heavy duty 250A earth lead back to the battery and have no problems at all with quality, also means that all of the cabling is in the car as my battery is in the passenger footwell.
