Hi All

After many years of trouble free ownership my Chimaera has just developed a fault with the central locking resulting in the doors locking OK but failing to unlocked when the key fob is depressed again. The solenoids are moving in the door pillars when the mirror switch is operated but the locking system does not disengage.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Many thanks
Mark

Its a while since i had a chim but i think a similar problem was caused by centre Knob release.Give that a spray with wd40,i also cleaned and oiled door plates.Does centre lock work from fob? battery change seems to work too.Hope you cure it soon.

My Griffith had the same central locking issue. It turned out to be a faulty central locking relay located in the dash. I don't know where it would be located in a Chimaera, but it might well be the relay.

Thanks guys.

Fixed now. Looks like it was sticky solenoids in the door pillars which have now freed up with a bit of help!

Cheers
