I use Steve Howard at Thames Valley Racetech -- he's based just north of Reading in Sonning Common.

www.thamesvalleyracetech.co.uk has the contact details.

Id also be intrested to know if anyone uses someone nearer or in Basingstoke. I use my car every day for work, and dont have a spare car at the moment. So dropping my car off 20 miles away could prove to be a pain.

they certainly knew the main probs with my cerb and sorted them all out for me for a reasonable price.

I used to live in Basingstoke.

Steve Howard at Thames Valley Racetech (Sonning Common, just NW of Reading) and also Dave Batty at The Garage (just West of Guildford) are both roughly 30 mins from Basingstoke, and both have good reputations.
There's also Andy of APM Automotive. He's over at Bordon, Hants, which I think is further away from Basingstoke than either Steve Howard or Dave Batty.

Mike Jennings used to run a Griff as his only car and Steve Howard always managed to keep it on the road for him, sometimes working evenings to do so.

I don't have a lot of experience of SHG apart from the fact that they split in two, with one half becoming closely associated with Hawthorns, the TVR Main dealer in Farnham, and the other becoming independant.
Although I have the greatest of respect for the Rod and the Sales guys at Hawthorns, I'm afraid I don't rate their service dept very highly (ie. the half of SHG associated with Hawthrons) as has been documented in previous Pistonheads threads.

Hope that helps
Jon

I live in Basingstoke and use Fernhurst - it's a bit of trek. But, they do supply a courtesy car. I usually get over there for 8am, and still manage to get back to Basingstoke for 9.
