Views on EBC brakes.

The brake pedal on the Chimaera has I noticed on the weekend got a slight undulation under braking, I am 99% certain it is a waped disc so I have ordered new discs and pads for it.
I have decided to go for EBC brake discs (not grooved or anything) with EBC Green Stuff pads.

Anyone had any experience with these?

Had Green Stuff on my Chim, they were fine. Apparently they are quite tough on the discs. I never found this to be a problem 'cos as you know I don't do track days and neither do you.

Pluses - No dust on your wheels, seem to last for ever.

Minuses - Can be 'entertaining' when cold for the first few miles (Avoid tailgating at all costs! )

I like them, but I know Peter (Green V8S) and Steve (Shpub) are not big fans, but they are 'Trackies'

I use EBC pads on my motorbike and while they perform well under heavy braking they unfortunately have a habit of peeling from the back plate as they get down to about 1/3 thickness and they don't last very long.

Hmmm, not a fantastic amount of alternatives though? I've ordered them now so we will see!

Just installed a set of EBC Red Stuff Ceramic pads. Done about 400 miles with them so far. They slow you down much quicker than standard pads, no problem with fading so far. Time and a holiday in the mountains will tell if they resist fading completely.

Corin - I've got EBC green stuff in my TVR (SEAC) and am more than happy with their performance !

Not much brake dust and I have not seen any wear on the discs..

Had them in my shopping trolley as well cos they were all I could get one weekend - still couldn't stand them!

Spend a few pounds more and get some Ferrodo DS2000

Had Green stuff pads on the Cerbera. Didn't wear the disc's much in 10000 miles. I would agree that the first stop on a cold morning was interesting. Squealed badly when hot but didn't fade.

I found EBCs were awful. Changed to Ferodo DS2500s and the difference was great, even before they were fully bedded in. I guess the servo on TVRs isn't assisting as much as some cars, meaning getting EBCs warm is bl00dy hard work. Not good when granny steps out at the end of your road and the brakes are cold IMO.

i've got green stuff in the chim and dont like them they are just too unpredictable from cold. some times they pull up sometimes they dont, somtimes pull left somtimes pull right.

The Carbon metallic in the race car are better cold !!!

pants....use wilwood calipers / brakes, esp if you want to use the car on track days. I'm sure EBC are good, but just not up to what I wanted for trackdays...

Were these on your T350 or a previous car? I'm looking to change my pads, and DS2500s sound just the job...
