Popped into the MotorExpo at Canary Wharf early this morning to have a look at the TVR’s on show (All the cars there are from the TVR Centre with the exception of the Tuscan R) As they still needed to get the cars to the display areas and in the right places I was able to blag a lift in the Tuscan R – and WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a car, the noise on start up etc. is window shattering, the race seats and dash are fantastic. The pictures really don’t do the car justice in the metal it looks bloody marvelous fantastic even. I still took a heap of pictures that I’ll try to get posted today/tomorrow

rmaurer, show's not bad, bit spread out through the buildings, though TVR are outside next to the Jag stand. Did you go to the driven day at Milbrook? if so it's the same sort of layout. Ben Samuleson is there for TVR.

Mark the expo is open 09:00-17:00 Mon-Fri. But the cars are there regardless. So you can get to those outside e.g. TVR, Jag, Volvo, Smart, Porsche, Morgan, Land Rover, Ford, Chrylser, Lexus, Jeep, Mercedes etc.

Depends on if you want to speak with any of the sales guyes I guess??...

Cheers for the times guys.

Paul,

May have to arrange a lunch time account visit over at Canary Wharf. I reckon I can make an excuse to visit Via Fossa and Bar 38. Fancy a pint later this week and a wander round the cars then ??

Cheers

Some for the files may take a while as the resolution is quite high.

What a car. Anybody know the performace figures, and above all the estimated cost? I am due a large pension payout shortly, may be able to upgrade from current 4.2 Cerbera to Tuscan R!! Also, any ideas on Insurance Quotes for this car?

Tony T you will be one lucky man if you can get one. Meanwhile I will keep on playing the lottery.

Has it got back seats or is it all fuel tank? I know the initial concept looked like it was going to be an option as to what you got back there.

I hear performance is in excess of 200mph

When this one was at Back Home, the back seats were missing.

You could see where the seats were supposed to go as there were a couple of sharp edged carbon fibre hollows.

The demo version as at back home and now the Motorexpo is still without the rear seats. The original plan was to offer either rear seats with a standard fuel tank or no rear seats and a much larger fuel tank. Personally I think you want rear seats buy a Cerbera. If 200 + mph and the most acelerative TVR this side of a GT Speed 12 then go minus the rear seats !!

I was dropping my car off at the factory just after Back Home, and the R was still there.

The security guard (very nice man) said the car was open, and I could have a look inside. Clearly I couldn't resist squezzing my fat arse into the cockpit (quite snug seats and the lip on the still needs to be accounted for on entry/exit), and would agree that inside and out, the car looks fantastic. Rear seats? - forget it. There didn't seem to be anything like enough room for 2+2 type set up.

Unfortunately, the keys weren't in the car, as I'd have loved just to start the thing, let alone drive it. D drinks - you jammy sod!
